Since 1953, our club has been one of the most successful winter swimming clubs in the country.

Our club has proudly won:

  • 24 of 26 South Metropolitan Titles.
     

  • Australian Winter Swimming Championship Titles of;

    • 1981 Newcastle, NSW

    • 1982 Port Maquarie, NSW

The Australian Winter Swimming Championships is and always has been our biggest and most treasured competition of the year.

With 12 flags under our belt since 1976 and our most recent win in 2015, The Bears competitive spirit is thriving now more than ever.

Only recently has our successes been out shadowed by an equally talented club, the Harbord Frigid Frogs.
